Flash firmware

How it works

On this page you can reflash or update our products to the latest factory firmware using ESP Web Tools, directly in your browser. Requirements: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge over HTTPS.

  1. 1
Connect your smarthomeshop.io product to your computer via USB. Use a USB‑C cable that supports data (not power‑only).
  2. 2
Select your product and the correct firmware variant below.
  3. 3
Click Connect and follow the browser prompts to flash the firmware.
  4. 4
After flashing, configure Wi‑Fi using Improv (if supported) or via access point.
  5. 5
If the device is not detected, first try another data cable or USB port. Products with native USB, such as UltimateSensor V2, do not need a CP210x driver. Install the driver only for older products with a CP210x USB‑to‑UART chip: Windows · macOS.
Important, Factory reset

Flashing from this page writes the factory firmware image to your device. All current settings, Wi‑Fi credentials, and local configurations on the device will be erased. Make sure you have any required credentials at hand to reconfigure after flashing.

Which hardware version do I have?

Not sure which hardware version you have? You can check this in the sensors of your product in Home Assistant (look for "Hardware Version" or "Product Version"). Or contact us via support.smarthomeshop.io using the email address you used when placing your order.
