LD2450 mmWave Radar Module – Real-Time Trajectory & Presence Tracking
The LD2450 is an advanced 24 GHz FMCW mmWave radar module with built-in trajectory detection algorithms. With a single module you can measure distance, angle, and velocity of moving objects—enabling true position tracking in addition to simple presence detection. Perfect as an upgrade for the CeilSense (replacing the basic LD2412) or as a replacement module in the UltimateSensor series.

Detects objects up to 8 m away, with a field of view of ±60° (azimuth) and ±35° (tilt), and distance accuracy of ±0.15 m.

Operates in the 24–24.25 GHz band with a 250 MHz sweep bandwidth for crystal-clear measurements.

ASCII data over a 4-pin serial interface (256 000 baud), easily integrated with ESPHome, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or other microcontrollers.

PCB measures just 15 × 40 mm, with a standard 1.5 mm 4-pin header.

Note: When using the LD2450 instead of the LD2412 in the CeilSense:
- You switch from simple yes/no presence detection to 3-person tracking.
- The module runs noticeably warmer—consider this when evaluating temperature readings.
- The detection angle is significantly narrower than the LD2412, especially in ceiling installations.
